I have some of the best social media marketing strategies to help you grow and scale your business in 2021. Everybody must know at this point that in order to grow your business, you have got to have a presence on social media. And I want to talk about how you can take your network marketing business to social media and actually start growing exponentially, no matter what social media platform you’re on.
Well, my name is Karin Angelly from KarinAngelly.com. I teach and train network marketers how to build their business in the online space, and today I want to talk about social media and the power that social media has to help you build your network marketing business.

All right, so let’s talk about social media marketing and how I mean everybody already knows how important it is, right? Like even brick and mortar businesses right now are realizing how incredibly important having a presence on social media is and the problem that most people don’t understand.
If you haven’t been on social media before, now is the time to really figure it out, obviously. But if you’ve never been on social media before, there’s some things that you’ve got to know. And I think like I really condensed down my social media strategy and really ask myself, What are the things that I’m actually doing that’s helping me to grow my business, like literally on autopilot, like literally able to scale and grow my business completely on autopilot?
So I wanted to completely dumb it down and create those three best strategies that I think you need to be doing right now in your business. All right, let’s talk about those three best strategies. Okay, the first one and the most important yet the one that most people forget to do, especially in network marketing.
I feel like in network marketing we first start and our up line is like, Oh, all you have to do is talk to people. No big deal. Everybody wants your product. It’s great. And that couldn’t be further from the truth.
From what I’m going to share with you next, you must. And I’m saying must know who your target audience is when it comes to your product, when it comes to your service and when it comes to your business. Okay, so incredibly important that you actually go who is it that is already looking for my product?
So let me give you an example. And this is something that’s happened to me before. Okay, so say you go and you bring your car to get it serviced, Okay? You’re getting the oil changed All the things looked at and you go to the dealership. Okay, who’s done this before? I realized after not too long of doing this, that this was a big mistake.
But when I first bought my car, I went to the dealership loyally because I thought it was the best way and then realized that maybe that wasn’t so, but anyway, so I would bring my car to the dealership, and, um, I would tell them what needed to be done. Oil change, whatever. Whatever the case was.
Okay. And then you go and you sit down in their little waiting area there. But then you kind of get bored, right? Like, who’s ever gotten bored at a dealership and is like, What can I do now? So me with my bright idea, was like, Let me just go take a peek at cars, okay? Just gonna take a look. I’m not really interested in cars. I’ve got a great car right now, but I just want to see what’s out there.
So you start walking around the showroom and lo and behold, you start to attract people’s attention. Okay? The car salesmen are literally like hawks, and they’re like, Oh, there’s somebody here. We got to talk to this person, and I’m not really interested in buying a car.
I’m just taking a look. I’m just touching the paint. I’m sitting in the car. I’m holding the steering wheel. Just having a good time. Right? So when a car salesman comes up to me and starts talking to me about this amazing car and while I do agree, it’s an amazing car I’m just not in the market for a car, right?
Like I’m just kind of there taking a look. I’m not interested. So you’re kind of wasting your breath, your friend like like, seriously, it’s It’s just really, really funny when you do that kind of thing at a car dealership.
Now, what about the difference of if I was to drive to that dealership with the intention in my mind of actually buying a car that day? It’s a totally different intention, right? The first intention. I’m just there to have fun just hanging out, and I get kind of annoyed when I get a car salesman coming up trying to sell me a car when I’m not really interested.
Whereas when I go to the dealership and I have an intention of actually buying a product from them, that’s a totally different story, and I’m totally I’m way more suggestible. I’m easier to talk to because I’m open. I want to talk about the ins and outs of different cars.
I’m actually open to what’s being shared. This is the difference when you actually know who you’re talking to, who your target audience is for your product or your service. It’s literally like one. You’re literally climbing up a hill with a boulder on your back. Really tough, right?
Really difficult. Whereas in the second example, all you have to do is when you’re at the top of that hill, you touch the boulder and it just starts rolling down like it’s literally like, Yes, I want this. I’m interested already.
That’s the difference when you actually know who your target audiences and who you’re talking to, makes all the difference. Okay, So if you want to grow in scale your business on social media, you have got to talk to your target audience and know who specifically they are.
You’re going to have more luck. You’re going to be more successful in the long run, and you’re gonna get way less frustrated. The second thing that I think you need to be doing if you aren’t already Okay, seriously, it’s 2021 you’ve got to be doing this second thing.
You have got to be doing video. Okay, Seriously Crazy when I hear network marketers talking about how they’re not doing video for their business. Okay, so I’m actually a part of a few different Facebook groups and one of the Facebook groups that I was in.
Somebody asked the question How important it is it for me to actually be doing video in my business. And some of the answers just completely amazed me, because in 2021 video is an absolute must.
In my opinion, it’s the easiest way for you to grow, know, like and trust. But so many network marketers are thinking to themselves, I hate camera. I don’t want to be on camera. I don’t want to come off as the pushy salesman. Part of part of you growing in your network marketing business is doing things that make you uncomfortable. Okay?
And that means getting yourself on camera. Okay, I don’t care if you’re doing a Facebook live instagram TV. I don’t care if you’re on YouTube, but you’ve got to get your face on the camera. Okay? You’ve seriously got to show people who you are and what you care about. Okay?
So incredibly important that you actually connect with people in this way. I’m not gonna lie to you when I create videos for my business, I legit like I’m not even kidding right now. I get sales on autopilot. Okay, I don’t always know the people that are buying from me like that is seriously the power of video
When somebody feels connected to me because I’ve been just chatting with them for 15 minutes and they really like my style. They really want to connect with me more. They, either by my product, join my team or check out other things that I have to offer. It is so incredibly powerful.
And if you are not doing video right now, please, my friend, think about it. It’s time. It’s time to step out of your comfort zone and actually grow on camera. Okay? Scariest crap. I totally get it. But it’s time to grow and grow your business and scale on social media.
Now, the third thing I believe you should be doing no matter what social media platform you are on, it doesn’t matter. Like literally all three of these things that I’ve shared with you just now, literally, they can be used on any platform.
This last one is to let your personality shine through. OK, seriously, like it doesn’t seem like a difficult thing. But for most people, this is one of the most difficult things that I could ask you to do. I’m asking you that if you’re fun and energetic and bubbly to be that person, I’m
asking if you’re serious and you like to get to the point and just talk about things that you like, Be that person to whoever you are, be you.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had one of my distributors Tell me, Karin, I just want to be like you. I don’t want you to be like me. I want you to be you. I want you to let your personality shine and show whether it’s a post on Facebook, a post on Instagram, a video.
Whatever the case may be, I want your personality to shine through regardless and be vulnerable. Share stories, Let people know who you are, what you’ve done and really just grow your audience by being you and being the authentic you.
So many times in life we feel like we have to be somebody else and we have to impress other people. It is so not about impressing other people literally. It’s about being you. And if you are struggling on camera, let your audience know that. Tell them, Be vulnerable with them.
It’s okay. That’s part of growing yourself when it comes to building on social media, literally just being vulnerable and telling other people that you’re struggling with something makes that connection with your audience so much stronger.
So let your personality shine through no matter what it is that you’re doing, whether it’s a post, whether it’s an engagement question, whether it’s a video, whether it’s YouTube, whether it’s linked in whether it doesn’t matter, what platform, let your personality show through because it’s truly what’s going to attract so many people to you.
