YouTube Shorts are truly the fastest way to grow your Youtube channel right now. However, what I’m hearing from most people is that they’re posting Youtube shorts, but they’re seeing zero views from them. Today, we’re going to talk about the reasons why and what you can do to help yourself grow with your YouTube Shorts.

Well, my name is Karin Angelly from KarinAngelly.com. I teach and train entrepreneurs how to attract leads and sales in the online space through the use of video marketing.

And today I want to talk all about Youtube shorts and what youtube shorts can do to help you grow a massive following. So listen, I’m here every single week giving you tips tricks and training on how to build your business.

Alright, YouTube Shorts. YouTube Shorts are in my opinion right now. They are bigger than TikTok now. I know that that’s a really big thing to say. But hear me out.

YouTube Shorts are actually in high demand. YouTube launched YouTube Shorts about a year ago, maybe a little bit longer than that, but I will say with YouTube Shorts, the really, really cool thing is that not only is YouTube currently pushing these hard, this is literally the newest thing on the platform and as a result of being the newest thing, YouTube is actually pushing them really, really hard, which means that you can get your face in front of more people.

The other thing that I’m seeing with YouTube Shorts is that most content creators on YouTube are not using them and that’s what’s really cool about YouTube Shorts. There’s a supply and demand thing going on right now. The supply for YouTube Shorts is very low, but the demand is really high, which means that you can actually get your face in front of more people if you’re doing the right things with your YouTube Shorts.

And to be completely honest, YouTube Shorts are like the wild wild west west right now. You can literally create content and see it go crazy viral just from these YouTube Shorts. So why aren’t you seeing these kinds of results?

Well, in my opinion, there are multiple different reasons for this. However, I actually honed in on three really important ones that you’re probably missing right now.

One of the biggest reasons you’re probably struggling with your YouTube Shorts is that your title sucks. That is harsh. I know. However, I want you to know that your title on your YouTube Shorts are incredibly important.

Your title is probably actually way more important than even your content actually. No, it is more important than your content because your title is actually what tells Google, what tells YouTube what your content is about so that it can serve it to the right people.

So really make sure that you’re spending lots and lots of time on your title. So that YouTube and Google actually know who to serve your content to.

So most people when they’re crafting a title, they literally think of something really quick and they throw it on there and they hope for the best. That’s not really a good way to build on YouTube.

You really want to think about what keywords your including in your title. How and who you want to actually get your content directed to because it’s really all about that, targeting getting your face in front of the right people means targeting with the right keywords and the right keywords are literally going to be found in your title.

Now, when you actually post your YouTube Short, your title is going to actually pop up as your captions on your YouTube Short. So what’s happening is that people that are coming over from TikTok are taking their captions and they’re putting it as their title, slapping it on and hoping for the best.

Well the problem with that is that that the caption on TikTok does really well, but on YouTube it just doesn’t cut it. So instead of thinking of cutesy things, start thinking up some keywords, What is your content actually about?

Say you have a skincare product or a weight loss product, skincare or weight loss. Those are your key words. Those are things that you actually want to build your content around.

So think about all the things that people are searching for in Google and they are looking for answers to having perfect skin care or having great weight loss. Think about that, that that main keyword where your skin care for example is your main keyword and from there you can actually create content around that particular keyword and actually get found for that keyword on google.

One of my favorite ways to actually start crafting keywords and crafting not only my short tail keywords, but my long tail keywords is using a program called Answer the Public. AnswerThePublic.com actually gives me I will, I will type in a short tail keywords like skincare and from that skincare answer the public is actually going to give me all of the things that people are typing into Google wanting to know more about.

So if you craft your title first and then you craft your content after your title, you’re most likely going to be winning when you’re creating your YouTube Shorts. I know that creating a perfect title on YouTube can sometimes be difficult.

Now, another thing that I’m noticing when people are creating these YouTube Shorts is that most people are actually taking their TikToks and repurposing them to YouTube while there is nothing wrong with this. What can actually happen is that a lot of times people on TikTok are using trends, trends actually help you really grow quickly over on TikTok.

However, what I’m discovering on YouTube is that trends don’t quite relate the same way that they do on TikTok. So, on Youtube, your trends may just fall flat.

What I’m noticing is that when I take my trending videos from TikTok and I put them over to YouTube, what I’m noticing is that it can be kind of iffy if it does well or not. The biggest thing that I’m noticing that is doing the best for me with my YouTube Shorts is when I actually have original content and that original content generally comes in the way of a talking head video just like what I’m talking to you right now.

I’m giving you information. I’m telling you how to do certain things. That original content, what I’m finding is doing the best. So always think about when you’re creating your YouTube Shorts, think about how you can actually craft them so that not only are they going to be great on TikTok, they’re gonna be great on YouTube as well.

Really create some original content where you’re teaching your prospects, where you’re teaching people how to actually do something. And that’s creating so much draw to your profile to your content that people want to know more and more from you.

Now, that’s not to say that all trending sounds or things are not working on YouTube. If you’re curious and want to know what kind of things you can start doing that are trending on YouTube.

The other thing that I’m noticing with people that are putting content on YouTube Shorts is the first few seconds of your video. The first maybe second two seconds of your video are the most important parts of your video.

The first two seconds of your video are your hook. This is literally what gets people to continue watching your video or not.

Your hook can come in multiple different ways. You can actually write your hook on screen, you can say your hook with your original content. You can actually have camera movement.

That actually creates a hook for people. Makes things more interesting. You as the subject, you can move into the frame, making it a little bit more interesting and creating that hook for people and drawing more people into your content.

So really think about when you’re creating your videos, what is your hook actually like because not only is your title super duper important, but to keep somebody on the platform on your video and not just keep scrolling through. You actually want to make sure that your hook is so unforgettable.

It keeps them watching for more and they stay on your content and they just want to hang out and learn from you. All right, my friend, I gave you a ton of things to think about.

  1. Your video was very helpful, thank you very much for the information you provided 😍. But I had a question, I have been uploading videos to my Youtube Short channel for 8 months, but all the videos I uploaded in the last 2 weeks have 0 views, and before that it was not like this. I have never changed my video upload style and I have not found the reason for this.

    When something like this happens, 2. I opened my Shorts channel and I don’t get any views there either. Do you have any idea about this topic? I wonder what I’m doing wrong, even though I’ve done a lot of research, I haven’t come to a conclusion. If there is no problem with me sharing my Youtube Shorts channel, can you take a look or do you have an idea?

    • Make sure that your videos are not accidentally set to private. I’ve definitely made this mistake before. 😂 Silly, but you have to check.

      Also, Turn on incognito on YouTube and then go to your own channel and view the short. This should give you a view. I do this anytime I upload a new video. This helps get the ball rolling with new video uploads.

      The other thing you may want to consider is ask yourself if the video is about you, or are you providing value by answering questions of your audience, giving tutorials, educating, or entertaining.

    • @Video Marketing Unicorn – Karin Angelly Thank you very much for your answer, but although I do not change my uploads in any way and I share videos every day, the fact that the views remain at 0 all the time does not leave me a light.

      I’m going to change the descriptions, tags, hashtags, things like that for a week and try it like that. If there is no improvement, the only solution is your opinion.

    • @Tom Riddle like I said, watch your own videos as well. If after you watch your video, it’s still at 0, then it sounds like something is off with you account. But I haven’t seen it, so I don’t fully know.
