Personally, I don’t play around with copyright at all! Whether its a copyright strike or a copyright claim, I want nothing to do with that.

Can you avoid copyright claims by reusing content? Yes. As long as that content is yours, my friend.

You see what I see people do so often is that they reuse content from other creators, and yeah, that’s gonna create a copyright claim. Now the other thing to be super duper careful of when you’re reusing your own content is that if you are using your own content that has maybe a popular sound behind it, you probably want to actually use that popular sound again from the YouTube library.

Because otherwise, it’s going to get flagged as a copyright claim which isn’t really that pretty. Right? So I know it sounds ridiculous, but if you’re reusing your content and say you have a super duper popular song behind that piece of content that you’re reusing.

I would cancel out the sound on the original piece of content and choose that exact same sound from the YouTube library. Hopefully that makes sense and follow for more.

  1. Yes, as long as that content is yours! – probably not what the OP meant. Big smart tip to use YouTube Library for the sound of you are re-uploading to YouTube. Which you didn’t mention.
